Thanks for the update on opinion pieces. I wasn't aware that things were in such a bad state. Can you direct me to the people whom I might complain to, W/R/T getting the opinion vs. belief standard changed? I might as well help at the tilting windmills....

I too believe in civil discourse on this answers, and have been slowly trying to "fix" things that are obviously inappropriately biased or blatantly false, without letting my personal bias enter (so far as possible). Thanks for taking the time out to explain how things are going.

what do yo do when the person posting info scientifically is incorrect, inaccurate and wrong. I corrected the post, but twice, only to have the same poster repost their same message thrice for what originally remains is still wrong?

RE revert on What are some opinions about what President Obama has done wrong as President during his term so far?

http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What are some opinions about what President Obama has done wrong as President during his term so far#ixzz1wJtcmSFm

OK, I guess I understand that position; I was primarily trying to remove stuff that's blatantly false or completely-off topic, since my understanding of "opinion" was that there had to be some rational basis for making it, e.g. libel isn't an opinion.

If that's what the policy is, then, I can leave it alone.

Deb!

Thank you for keeping an eye on some of my replies! Makes me feel good to know you're there. REally excellent edit too!

Question -- do you think I came on too strong?

On another topic, Homeland Security is near to throwing a party about the H1N1 vaccine results as they pertain to H5N1. Do you want me to copy you on any of this, or are you already up to speed?

Fond regards,

Jon

Good to hear from you , sorry I 've been so long in replying.
The winter has been strange.
Nothing much caused any problem until one weekend when we got an unexpected frost and my heater did not cut in.
I am now in the position where I have lost a significant number of my plants ( I will explain later) and my timing for the shows I had intended showing at may be out the window.

Still. maybe my judging skills will keep my kudos at the top of the pile.

Or maybe I will Be found out.
Hope you are well.
We have survived the winter, it wasn't too bad and we look forward to tomorrow.
Hope this finds you as well as we are.
Your pal George.

Yes, that is our indoor riding arena, a requirement in Wisconsin. My loving daughter took that picture. I call her my moped. I love riding her but my friends really should not catch me doing it. She is four in July. Stubborn as my daughter.

Hey,

I can't remember changing the style formatting, can you please throw me the link but be my guest of you want to change anything. I don't usually touch formatting unless it's way out there and not in keeping with style guidelines. I cleared my 'watch list' earlier today so a link would be helpful.

Thanks for checking first tho 5* for super communication :-)

Cheers,

RHYFOR

Sent you e-mail on this, but basically it comes down to niche. (My one change was for illustration purposes.)

I am not ordinarily a stickler on these things, but I am being pragmatic here.
The intelligent user is going to say that the two questions are not the same, and would be right. The fact
that *lots* of site users have used one question to *mean* the other doesn't change that.

The net benefit is that the separation *saves time* re-merging and re-merging. I know. I did it. :-(

Here is an example of the changes that were incorporated into the example sentences.
They also ended up on some of the "what is a sentence" which more specifically should ask
"what is an example sentence using the word X" but this was too wordy and in any event the other two forms
were already very widespread. There is also the matter of grammar questions that leave off "the word", e.g.
"what is a sentence using alliteration" which results in any number of misdirects or insufficient answers.
