I have been on Prevacid for over 15 yrs and have had NO reactions or problems while taking it. I have been tested from head to toe and my liver is on of the things that is checked on a regular basis because of another drug a dr.put me on and should have not done so. The drug was Prendisone (spelling may be wrong) but that stuff is big trouble for your liver. Will never take that again.....

I take 30 mg of prevacid every morning or I don't eat ....it is simple as that.

So from my point of view it is just great to take.....hope this helps you...

Oh and sometimes when I have failed to obtain my Rx in a timely manner I will fall back on Prilosec which you can buy over the counter. It seems to work well for a back up.
