Gonadotropic hormones FSH (Follicle stimulating hormone) and LH (Luteinizing hormone) are produced and secreted by the gonadotrophs in anterior pituitary. These are the trophic hormones that act on the ovaries and testes. Required for ovulation, spermatogenesis, biosynthesis of estrogens and androgens.
