Well, Matilda is a young child who was born in a family that did not appreciate her. She later goes to Chrunchem Hall Elementary School and is found by the only person who believes in her, Jennifer Honey. She had a mean principal named Miss Trunchbull who is later discovered to be miss honey's aunt. Miss Trunchbull is said to be in once in the Olympics, shotput, javelin, hammerthrow. according to Hortensia, one of the ten-year-olds of Chrunchem hall, the hammerthrow's her specialty. Miss honey is tells Matilda that her mother died when she was two. so, her father, called her aunt, to come and stay with her. but as you know, the Trunchbull was a wicked person who treated her very badly. and then, when she was five, her father died. they then decided he had committed suicide. but later in the book, it is decided that miss Trunchbull had murdered him. Matilda discovered her own neat power and uses it to get back lyssydoll, and to help miss honey win her house back. in the end, Matilda defeats the Trunchbull and is adopted by miss honey because her parents moved to Guam.
