Adam was created first, then God put Adam to sleep. While Adam was sleeping, God took out one of Adam's ribs and created Eve with it.

At the same time as Adam. Genesis 1:27 God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

The passage above, though, indicates that both Adam and Eve were created within the same day of creation; it does not, however, indicate a specific order within that day.

Genesis 2 sheds some further light on the chronology as it seems to indicate that Adam was created first, followed by the land animals and then Eve.
