There has been an historical squeamishness about calling Frank bisexual mainly due to religious and cultural hostility to non-heterosexual orientations in general and to confusion over the nature of bisexuality in particular. But based solely on the entries in Anne Frank's diary, it is possible that she was bisexual.

There is no concrete evidence to suggest that Anne Frank was bisexual. Anne's diary mentions her interest in boys and her relationship with a boy named Peter, but there is no indication of her being attracted to girls in a romantic or sexual way.
