No he was not a patriot. He was a person who traveled around the world and stopped at different countries and served in there armys. He accomplished many things and were sucessful at everything and when he died he died with great honor. To this day not many people speak our ever heard about him but he has a statue of him at Valley Forge and it would be a great honor if you would go and see it.
