Yes. Carl Mays career spanned 1915-1929 playing for the Red Sox, Yankees, Reds, and Giants. He won 207 career games and had an ERA of 2.92. He pitched in four World Series (1916 and 1918 Red Sox, 1921 and 1922 Yankees). He is probably most famous for being the only pitcher to hit a batter and cause that batter's death. Mays hit Indians shortstop Ray Chapman in the head with a pitch in the 1920 season. Chapman passed away the following day from the injury.
