Was Elizabeth Kenny an early settler?

Answer:
Elizabeth Kenny, known professionally as "Sister" (Nurse) Kenny was a physical therapist from Australia who developed a series of treatments for those who had been stricken with infantile paralysis - polio. Dismissed at first as an "amateur" or even a "quack" she earned great respect over the years, and helped many to rehabilitate their almost useless limbs after having suffered from polio. She died in 1952.
