Was Woodstock 1969 a disaster?

Answer:
In spite of negative news reports in the beginning, Woodstock was a success, Michael Lang did what he set out to do, put on an outdoor concert event. Considering the amount of people gathered in one place the event was historic, there was no violence and many people donated food. The organizers did not make any money, and were sued by numerous vendors and nearby farmers, so in that respect it could be seen as a disaster, but the performers, attendees and organizers don't view it as such.
