Was World War II a good war?

Answer:
You probably won't get facts just opinions. But this is my opinion. There is no such thing as a good war. Most people who have been in combat will say the same thing. War is a savage and brutal thing. World War II ended 60 Million lives. However there can be such things a necessary wars. If the Allies had not stepped in, Nazis and Japan would have murdered billions of innocent people. I believe this because of the Nazi holocaust of Jews and millions of others, and the crimes committed by Imperial Japan in China and throughout Asia. The problem is that people like the Nazis and Japan are still around, whether the world will accept it or not. Examples are the communist oppression that spread in Vietnam and North Korea, the Taliban regime that control and murders Afghans, the regime of Saddam Hussein and the Iraqi insurgents who murder countless number of Iraqis.

World War II, in my opinion, is a really awesome thing to learn about, but it definitely wasn't good. Over 10 million people were killed in concentration camps just because they wouldn't convert to a way of life called the Nazi's, or because they had a mental disability or something. It's very devastating to hear all the wonderful people that were killed.
