A group of scientists decided to name space "space" because they saw how empty it is and how much space there is in what we now know as "space".

Space, is empty space filled with millions of matter (or atoms) and dark matter. However, dark matter is very rare.

"Space Junk" gets into space because of us leaving materials behind when we visit space.
