In my view, No. Germany did not anticipate that the US would involve it's self in a distant war, one whose ideology, (ie totalitarianism was more or less condonned), which it was very reluctant to do, and only the prior knolledge of a provoked and impending Japanese attack on the US fleet based at Pearl Harbor, allowed Roosevelt the necessary reason to bring the public 'on-side' by providing a massive and external threat to homeland security. Never the less, Hitler I think Herr Hitler lost little sleep over American involvement.

Absolutely not. First of all the war has already broken out before we got directly involved and as most of you reading this can remember, the United States has always been indirectly involved in both World Wars. Although we claimed we were isolationists in WWI, we sure made out like thieves taking money from our allies in return for weapons.

World War II broke out because of the war guilty clause caused by the Treaty of Versailles. Here comes a dude, reminding the Italians of the good ol' days when they were "Romans" the largest empire the world has ever seen! Then we have another dude reminding the Germans of what it means to be great again when they were told what pieces of you know what they were for causing all the death and damage in WWI. Nationalism in countries that were in shambles caused the outbreak of WWII.
