A Clockwork Orange was banned because Violence, Rape, political justice and of course because of the language used. In Britain on March 1972 a 14year old boy was accused of manslaughter and the reason for this manslaughter was supposedly because he had either read of saw the film. After this A Clockwork Orange was definitely banned.
To my knowledge it was not banned but when it was originally released in the USA it did not include the 21st chapter. The current edition does include the 21st chapter which was not included in the film adaptation.
Yes, "A Clockwork Orange" was banned in England for its violent and explicit content in the early 1970s. The ban was later lifted, and the book is now widely available in the country.

In the film "A Clockwork Orange", Alex and his droogs are shown wearing white jackets that taper at the waist. "Droog" is a term the book uses for "friend".
You can translate the film, but I can't see one for the book, as far as I know.
the title a clockwork orange refers to : clockwork: meaning to be machine-like orange: a derivative of the term orangutan which is a monkey which is close to man... so the title relates to the content of the book, because alex is brainwashed and is controlled by his sickness like a machine

A popular quote from "A Clockwork Orange" by Anthony Burgess is: "The question is whether such technique can really make a man good. Goodness comes from within, 6655321. Goodness is something chosen. When a man cannot choose, he ceases to be a man."
Alex from the book A Clockwork Orange is similar to modern teenagers in a few ways, however he is also similar to teenagers through the ages in the same ways. The character of Alex is irreverent and lacks a moral compass.
The sequel to "Clockwork Angel" is "Clockwork Prince," followed by "Clockwork Princess." These books are part of The Infernal Devices trilogy by Cassandra Clare, set in the Shadowhunter world.
