Mainly they were not.
Some had homosexual tendencies. Homosexuality was illegal in most countries at the time, and particularly dangerous in Nazi Germany.

However, homosexuality is very common (some think about 1 in 20 people) and so it is not surprising that some high-ranking Nazis were gay. Goering apparently enjoyed young men.
