as samoans,new zelands,
Many years ago Samoan's used to rule over Tonga, they had them working as slaves. Tonga then decided to come together as a people and try to take they're country back. Samoa didnt hesitate instead just let them take over, but refused to have anything else to do with them. The Samoan &Tongan generation now are still in dispute. Most of them are now in gangs called "Crips & Blood", where most Tongan's are for Crips and Samoan for Bloods. Silence, you Tongan! I own you! Hahaha! Just kidding. That's really interesting though. Anyway, I never knew that gang part. The people for blue aka crips are mostly Samoan and them for red aka bloods are not really all that poly but there are more Tongans than Samoans in t. At least, around here in Compton. The part I live in. Not all Samoans and Tongans hate each other. Just have to add my 5 cents to the first answer.....lol...In actual fact, it was TONGA who ruled Samoa. Im a Samoan and studied this in school. And yes, in general Samoans and Tongans get along. There are the certain few idiots who think they're better than each other (both Samoan and Tongan) but I think we've come a long way from petty rivalries. I have quite a few Tongan members in my own family now. And I know of many familes that are part Samoan and part Tongan. Times are changing!
I don't understand the question. But, Samoans are Samoans.
I would feel very sad for the few Samoans and Tongans who resort to this kind of feeling. I am Samoan, and I have a lot of Tongan family and friends. We are all God's children, and there is no room for hate in this world if we learn to live and get along with each other. God bless. Alofa atu and ofa atu.
Since the Samoan population is almost twice that of Tonga, they would have the edge. Sike! Tongans are way stronger then Samoans sadly.
There are more than just Samoans living in Samoa. Of course, predominantly, Samoans live there, but over the years alot of other nationalities are there also. For example, people of non-Samoan descent who marry a Samoan. Or someone who moved to Samoa for work (there are an increasing number of Japanese, Papalagi (caucasian) and Indo-Fijians living there). When I lived in Samoa, I went to school with a Tongan family, and Tokelauan girl and more than a few caucasians.
The Samoans
Samoans speak Samoan
No! They're two completely different ethnic groups. Samoans are from a country called 'Samoa' in the South Pacific, hence the word 'South Pacific' (Australasia) meaning Samoans come from a different continent from where Africans are from. Basically comparing a Samoan to an African is like comparing the English to the Chinese. Obviously, they're not the same.
Samoans do not have arranged weddings
Samoans drink kava, water and more
The Samoans use the Samoan Tala.
