Passenger's side footwell, outboard of the glovebox. To access: 1. remove the glovebox (you can now SEE the relay...) 2. remove the plastic piece on the dash (right side of where the glovebox strikes the dash)... Just one screw at the top. 3. Remove the plastic piece on the end of the dash (this piece is covered when the passenger-side door is closed). There's one plastic screw at the top, then you gotta carefully pry it away (there's 5 metal clips holding it on). 4. Remove the bolt holding the relay bracket in place (10 mm bolt). 5. Unplug electrical connector from relay 6. The relay is now out. Here's the part information from my 1998 Honda Civic EX main relay: CME corporation, part# RZ-0158. It has an 8-in connector, but there is no "4" pin. Hope this helps! The cheapest place I've found so far is the dealer (believe it or not) for a replacement relay.

The headlight relay on a 98 Civic is located on the driver's side. It is under the dash near where the door closes.
The 1998 Honda Accord main relay switch will cost approximately $125 to replace. You can save $75 by replacing the switch yourself.
