Were the Nephilim mentioned in the Bible as aliens?

Answer:
No, I don't believe they were aliens. It talks about the sons of God taking wives of the daughters of men, and the offspring being called Nephilim or giants, I believe. (I have not read that in a while, so excuse me if I got that wrong.) There are generally 3 differing views on who the sons of God were. 1) the men from the line of Seth, 2) rulers and kings, and 3) fallen angels who left heaven and took wives of human females.

ANSWER:

Gen:6:2: That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

Gen:6:4: There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

The sons of God were the followers of God who were descended from Seth, and the daughters of men were the descendants of Cain, who did not worship God. The Godly descendants of Seth were called the sons of God because they were sincere followers of God,one of their number(Enoch) was even taken to heaven without seeing death. They kept themselves apart from the descendants of Cain for a long period of time. Then they started to intermarry. Next the bible records the whole earth became evil.

Genesis:6:5-6:
5: And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
6: And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

If the sons of God were fallen angels or aliens, why would GOD only be sorry he created man on the earth. This verse is very telling.

Besides Jesus said :Mt:22:30: For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

Angels do not marry. Angels are neither male nor female, they do not have sexual organs, but appear in male form .

Answer:

Nephelim, in Hebrew, means fallen ones, as in those created without souls. The only places that word is mentioned is where Giants are. It was a mistranslation from the Greek translations. The Greeks had one word to mean both fallen and giant, Titan, the gods that fell before theirs took over. Titan eventually came to refer solely to the term Giant, and not to fallen one. Not aliens, just humans with no souls. Think before Adam. The word nephelim means those who have descended from far away. Second, the bible says that the sons of god saw that the daughters of the Adam were fair and made unto themselves wives of the daughters of the Adam. Adams name comes from the root word adama which means earthling. Their offspring became heroes of old and mighty men, like Hercules and Samson. God would not allow fallen angels to marry humans much less Adam and Eve's daughters. Nor is there anywhere in the bible that says that angels can breed.
