The Persians did not win the Persian war. They lost the war to the Greeks (namely the Spartans and athenians) and withdrew from Greece, ending their campaign. Therefore, they received no tribute from the Greeks, but the Greeks also received no tribute from the Persians because they were not destroyed nor conquered, just forced to end their campaign in Greece.
