Not a good idea. Stop accutane for two days then resume after you drink alcohol. If not, liver damage can be done.
There are no counter-indications; however some people have complained about Ritalin being ineffective as soon as they begin Accutane treatment. I am starting on Accutane t…omorrow, and I have been prescribed Ritalin, so we'll see how it goes. Hope it won't affect my concentration, because that would mean 'bye-bye Dean's list' for me :-0
You take your prescribed dosage (anywhere from 10-80mg/day) with a meal. Half of the drug is absorbed through fat so you need to take the pills with fat, like a glass of… milk.
not really. i am currently on accutane and have noticed the following side effects 1)extremely chapped lips- you will get this 100% guaranteed 2)joint pain- its only bad w…hen i workout and mainly my lower back 3)depression-yes, it has made me more reclusive. no thoughts of suicide or anything but just a little less social. is it worth it? yes, without a doubt. first month it might get worse but then it gets better. my suggestions: keep chapstick (i found burts beez wax to be the best) with you at all times. and also lotion close by. you will be applying chapstick every few hours and lotion at least once a day. ANSWER I'd mainly agree with that. My first month and a half was a living hell though- not to try and scare you or anything. I am going into my 3rd month and my acne is still pretty severe and I am definitely more reclusive (but no suicidal thoughts). There are some big risks, but those side effects are less common. You should still get tested regularly to make sure you are still healthy and use a lot of vasaline and moisterizer!
accutane does work. i am going on my fourth month and feeling a lot more confident. when i started on accutane i didnt notice a visual difference til about month 2 and a half.… after that i could feel everything disappearing and my skin feels smooth... stick with it

Accutane/Roaccutane is a highly potent synthetic retinoid, with a great number of adverse side effects, as such it can only be prescribed by a Dermatoligist in pill form.
NO! It is extremley dangerous to take any medication with accutane (that isn't explicitly directed for use by a doctor), you would be risking extreme liver toxicity.
No, I am a 16 year old boy and I was on Accutane for about 6 months.
first thing is to wash your hands. make your eyes water, so tiers will come.get you finger and put in the tier. then tap it softly on the zit. keep on going thins every night …until the zit as gone. this happens because in tiers there is something in the tier that kills bacteria.
Ask your doctor. They are the best source of information about drug interactions.
I would definitely not try it! I permed my hair after being on accutane for a little over a month. Not only did the perm NOT curl my hair it was still completely straight (im …caucasian and wanted a body wave) But my hair broke off about halfway down the shaft on about 1/4 of my strands, giving me weird layers all over. Now, 4 months later, my hair is thinning so bad that i've become depr4essed. I had VERY thick hair before, my doctors actually said the hairloss side effect wouldnt be an issue for me because my hair was so thin. Idk if it was the perm or accutane or both, but my hair is thin limp and lifeless. DO NOT DO IT!@!!
You have to wait six months after coming off Accutane to get waxed anywhere on your body. It takes one month after coming off Accutane to get all of the medication out of your… system, then another few months for your skin to return to normal and become less sensitive. If you get waxed any sooner than six months after coming off of the medication, you risk damaging your skin.

I had very dry lips, dry (basically no oil) skin, and dry hair. I could go a whole week without washing my hair, when I used to have it every day. My lips were so dry that I a…bsolutely couldn't leave the house without a chapstick. My acne cleared up within the first couple of weeks, but I didn't have it very bad.
