What American Indian tribes are in the US?

Answer:
Cherokees, Chicckasaws, Choctaws, Creeks, and Seminoles.
(updated)
I am part Chipewa, and they originated from the central northen area of America. Like Michigan and some might say that they came from Canada to Michigan and on down to Ohio.

The above are known as the 5 Civilized Tribes, however there are many different Indian Tribes throughout the U.S. and Canada. For example in South Dakota, there is the Oglala Sioux Indian Tribe located in Pine Ridge, SD, then east of that location in Rosebud, SD there is the Rosebud Sioux Indian Tribe. And on and on. Every state has several different Indian Tribes within its boundries. If a person was to go to the Bureau of Indian Affairs site on the internet they would get an idea of how many Indian Tribes there currently is in the U.S. I am a Oglala Sioux Indian, and I am pretty proud of the tribe that I am from.
