4.0 means 100% so if you have 4.25 it would be 4.0 on a 4.0 scale. That is the best you can do, it's excellent!!

On a 4 point scale i had a 3.45. On the weighted scale i had a 4.5, I took nothing but pre-ap and AP courses.
A GPA is a GRADE POINT AVERAGE it the average from all your classes.
