If you are looking for a driver to run the Dell 3110 from a Mac (which is usually the reason the Lexmark equivalent is sought) then Dell have created a Mac driver (See links below).
T360
Suitable for use in Lexmark E260/360/460.
Yes, all Lexmark printers will work with a Dell computer, you need to install the right printer driver software. The software will be on a disc that came with the printer or search the net for the Lexmark site and download it.
No. The dell m4646 is compatible with the Lexmark 33, but not the 43. Also, Dell 4640 is compatible with the Lexmark 34.
I have only tried putting a Lexmark cartridge into a dell series 5 printer but it does not work. The electronics do not match and the printer rejected it.
Lexmark manufactures all of Dell's inkjet cartridges, so YES the inks are fully compatible. The only difference with the Dell carts is slight change in plastic molding on the cartridge so that a Dell cartridge can not physically fit into a lexmark printer and vice versa, although the cartridges can be modified to cross-work. Check www.123refills.net for refill inks that work in Dell and Lexmark.
Lexmark S505
No. The cartridges for the Dell printer are much larger than the Lexmark printer. The Lexmark equivalent for those Dell cartridges would be the Lexmark 82 and 83 but I am unsure if the electronics for those two are compatible. The Lexmark x75 cartridges are fully compatible with the Dell equivalent, the T0529 and T0530. The only differences in these are which lid gets slapped onto the cartridges. The shape on top will be slightly different making it so that they won't fit in correctly but this can easily be gotten around by simply snapping off the small plastic tab in the printer. Be very certain that you are breaking the correct piece off if you attempt to change the printer as you can break the cartridge holder if you snap off the wrong piece. If you look at the cartridge you will see a raised part on the lid with either a corner missing or a section in the center that is flat, this is where the piece that would prevent a Lexmark cart fitting into a Dell printer would be located. This small plastic piece can be removed with no effect on how the cartridge fits in the printer for printing.
Lexmark
Yess!!!! It's number 11. You can use the black & white one AND the color. I know, because I have a Dell v505w. My problem these days is trying to find a driver for it to run off my new MacBook Air. Ugh!! Hope this helps!!
The Dell printers are not supported on Macs but the Dell printers are usually made by Lexmark so setting up for a Lexmark X5470 or Lexmark X3550 may get some functions working. Printing may be enabled with the Generic PostScript option from the Print Using... menu.
