That was Rick Wise of the Philadelphia Phillies who no hit the Cincinnati Reds on June 23, 1971. Wise hit a two run homer in the fifth inning and a solo homer in the eighth inning of the 4-0 victory. He hit six home runs in the 1971 season and wound up his career with fifteen.

3) Rube Foster, Boston Red Sox - won Game 5 of the 1915 World Series against the Philadelphia Phillies (Red Sox won the Series 4-1) and threw a no hitter against the New York Yankees on June 21, 1916.
* - A 4th pitcher who did this was Ernie Shore of the Boston Red Sox. Shore won Game 5 of the 1916 World Series against the Brooklyn Robins (Red Sox won the Series 4-1) then combined on a no hitter with Babe Ruth on June 23, 1917. Ruth started the game and walked the first hitter. He began arguing with the home plate umpire and was ejected from the game. Shore replaced him, picked off the runner at first, and proceeded to retire the next 26 batters in succession.
June 29, 1990 - Fernando Valenzuela of the Los Angeles Dodgers no hit the St. Louis Cardinals, winning 6-0, and Dave Stewart of the Oakland Athletics no hit the Toronto Blue Jays, winning 5-0.
