∙ 15y agoGood parenting is a broad term used by parents to achieve a common goal when raising children; successful, productive and happy adults and the method to achieve this requires a combination of multiple things: 1. Recognizing you are a role model in everything you do, your interaction with family, neighbors, authority, and fellow commuters on the highway. You are a role model in study habits, work ethic and healthy relationships.
2. Recognizing you are responsible for the example you set for your children, whether it is good or bad. 3. Making a genuine effort to model good behavior when you are frustrated, angry, sad, resentful and happy. 4. Recognizing the bad behaviors you may be modeling and setting out to change them. Each family has specific values and motivations, however each of the above are key points to good parenting. If you diligently strive to accomplish them you will find yourself better prepared for good parenting.
