Best Answer

(1) An object at rest will remain at rest unless acted on by an unbalanced force. An object in motion continues in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force. This law is often called "the law of inertia"(2)Acceleration is produced when a force acts on a mass. The greater the mass (of the object being accelerated) the greater the amount of force needed (to accelerate the object).(3)For every action there is an equal and opposite re-action.

It states that every body continues its state of motion or of rest until acted upon be some external force. This means that every body moving with uniform motion or at rest will remain in the same state ,if any external force will not act upon it. This law of motion gives us the two concepts, one is of force and the other is of inertia. Force is that agent which changes or tends to change the state of an object at rest or moving with uniform velocity . (speed having particular direction). Inertia is not a force but is the state in which body wants to be. Again, the body at rest or in uniform motion will remain in the same state. * INERTIA IS THE DIRECT MEASURE OF MASS* Above statement means that the greater the mass ,the greater its inertia would be. For example: it is difficult to start a road roller than a cricket ball because the mass of a road roller is much greater than a small cricket ball. Hope this question is answered to some extent
