Answer

Let him spend sometime with his friends without you being in the picture, but I wouldn't allow it to go much furhter than that. Everyone needs space or they can become bored, you wouldn't want that and the possibility of loosing him, just let the guy breath a bit, call a girlfriend and go out to a movie somwhere where he won't be. Enjoy your movie.
