The New York Film Academy was originally established in New York. The School of Acting NYC campus is located in Soho at 568 Broadway, 212.966.3488, (http://www.nyfa.com/acting-school/).
Students at the New York Film Academy learn acting through practical experience in front of the camera as well as on stage. Acting students work closely with NYFA film students to experience the role of the filmmaker in order to better understand what will be asked of them during shoots and why. Students have the opportunity to audition for fellow student films throughout their time at NYFA.
New York Film Academy instructors are professional actors, directors, producers and coaches with extensive industry experience. Many have also worked as agents and casting directors, so they are well-equipped to prepare students with what to expect when they start auditioning and how to best conduct themselves. Students graduate with a reel of their acting work as well a strong grasp of what is expected of them during auditions and on set.
