Disney Channel has several programming blocks.
- Playhouse Disney, which airs starting at 6 AM and ending at 10 AM, 11 AM, or noon depending on the day, is targeted toward pre-school and early elementary school children. Programs include Imagination Movers, Handy Manny, and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
- Animated shows such as Phineas and Ferb and The Replacements usually air in the early afternoon. These are targeted towards upper elementary and middle school children.
- Teen sitcoms provide the most of Disney Channel's programming. These series are live action and usually feature a laugh track. Programs include Wizards of Waverly Place, Sonny With a Chance, and Hannah Montana.
Disney Channel also airs films from the Walt Disney Company library. These are intended for audiences of all ages.
