just to let you know, don't even bother looking at the peak wattage. Look at the RMS wattage. Same thing with an amplifier. look for something that doesn't go over 500 watts rms per channel. Will you be hooking your subs in parallel or in series? that matters too.

I've had good expirences with Blitz amps. I normally wire my subs in parallel to bring them to 2 ohms and then hook it up to one channel. You can also wire the sub in series to make it 8 ohms and bridge the amplifer. You get just about the same effect. Most amps have a frequency response knob that can allow you to choose what frequency to run your subs. I tune mine with my ear. Anyway, try to get an amp that is at least 200 watts rms per channel and don't even worry about peak power because the manufacturer is trying to convince people that their amp can produce 2000 watts with a 10amp fuse and if you do the math right: 13.8vx10a=138watts.

Remember, always look at the fuse and times it by the voltage (like 13.8volts) so that's the true power. Good luck!
