Now you may think that the best pet is a dog, but I believe that the best pets are divided into groups. The best pet is based on the amount of care and money that each pet needs, but, however, personality is not always a fact, and can instead be by your opinion.

Think about it. A dog. The things about dogs include:

* They need to be walked almost every day (at least 3 or 4 days a week), in rain, sunshine, snow, or frost.

* They need to be bathed and groomed. You also will need to eventually pay grooming taxes on your dogs, which can vary in price.

* You will have to train them as a puppy to go to the bathroom, and you may end up getting wet spots on your carpeting.

* Exceptionally a few breeds, like Dalmatians, Aidis, and Sanshus, they are not very clean. They will dig up the yard, roll in the mud and dirt, will go swimming, if a retriever, in the marshy and filthy water, and boy do they ever smell!

* Vet fees and taxes are most commonly high, and so are the bills for your dog's health and insurance. Dogs also need check-ups, and you will need to buy medicines, for parasites, like fleas and ticks, hearts, and other diagnosises. And, unlike cats, dogs can have way more different health problems and issues than cats can. Cats are much more healthy animals.

* Some dogs will want to attack, chew up everything, and cause lots of damage to the house. Although, to dog lovers, not all dogs are like this.

* You have to pick up their disgusting poop. And, unlike cats, dogs need to be taken outside regularly to go to the bathroom. So during a vacation, you cannot just leave a dog at home. You need someone to take care of it. Cats, on the other hand, will use a litter box and bury it. You will also then be able to leave your cat home during vacation, because it does not need to go outside.

* How much time do you have for a dog?

* And most of all, although they are tons of very friendly breeds of dog, there are also tons of aggressive breeds of dog. All cat breeds will be friendly, exceptionally maybe some mixes.

To me, the only thing you will like about having dogs is that you may be able to train it tricks easily, and get to play with it. But those are not to compare to how much care a dog needs. To all these things, I would not suggest that dogs are the best pets.

Cats, though, are much easier to care for, because:

* You do not need to potty train them when a kitten, because they learn from their mothers. When you take a kitten home, it will already know where to go to the bathroom.

* They do not ever smell, and all the cats I have encountered, over 50 or 80, probably, have never smelled, or got dirty. Even the outdoor cats were very clean. And cats will clean themselves, and most do not need bathing. Of course, for dog lovers, I will say however, that a few breeds, although only a few, may need a bath weekly, like Bambinos, Sphynxes, and Cornish Rexes.

* Vet bills are not as high certainly as dogs' ones are, and they are much healthier animals. They will most likely never get sick or injured, unlike dogs, who may want to play with a skunk or porcupine. Cats won't bother a thing.

* They will still play with you, and they are very smart. A dog would probably just get hit by a car, and run out into the road without a care, but a cat, to all the outdoor ones I have seen, will look both ways before doing that. They are very fun, and, especially as kittens, will play with anything, but not destroy it, like puppies, who will chew it up, like sofas, curtains, and other household items. Cats can easily be trained tricks, especially Abyssinians and Somalis, who are very smart.

* They are cuddly, and all breeds are. Some mixes may have an exception, but all breeds are not aggressive, and even Turkish Vans aren't, they just are independent.

* Cats can come in many more beautiful colors than dogs. White, blue, gray, black, gold, yellow, liver, smoke, tan, ticked, and come in even more patterns, with probably over a hundred different bicolors, tuxedos, tabbies, spots, stripes, mackerels, tricolors, mittens, and many more, out of those colors. The eyes in many breeds of cats can also be odd colored, meaning like a cat with one blue eye and one gold or yellow eye.

* Most do not need much brushing and combing, exceptionally Persians and Himalayans.

Cats are probably better than dogs, because they require much less care, are less expensive to buy, are low maintence, and are much healthier. But definitely, me and all other people cannot choose which is cuter: puppies or kittens. They both are adorable little creatures!

The easiest pets to take care of I'd say, and the most cute, are rodents. Mice are just tiny and adorable, are smart and can learn tricks, are agile and love to play, are pretty friendly and sociable, and are beautiful, like Fancy Mice, who come in many colors. Rats, are I'd say the smartest rodents of all, and are cute and small, and they love to be handled and are usually friendly. Hamsters are just so cute, and they are tiny, and they are fun to play with, and are usually friendly. Gerbils, are adorable, are small, extremely friendly, gentle, and love to be handled, and I'd say they are the funnest rodents to watch. Guinea pigs are extremely adorable, and come in many colors and breeds as well, and they love to be handled and cuddled. Chinchillas are probably the cutest, and degus are exotic and interesting, and cute, too! Also, rodents will eat any of your leftover ceral, fruits, vegetables, bread, buns, crackers, and other things. I also think they are the funnest to play with, because they can fit in your toys, go in balls, run on wheels, and you can make SuperPet Puzzle Playgrounds and tunnels for them to go through. You can also get free tunnels, by giving them your old toilet paper rolls! They are also the cutest pets I think. They are low maintence, and all require not much cage cleaning and other than that, just food and water. Although chinchillas could use a dust bath as well. Also, almost alll of them can be trained to use the litter box.

Reptiles, amphibians, and fish, are cute too, I think, especially the small lizards, snkaes, turtles, fish, and frogs, but they are also low maintence like rodents, and only require food, water, and cage cleaning. They, however, are probably very expensive, not only because they are exotic, but they need heaters, temperature maintence, and water conditioning. Nets are also useful for fish. But let me tell you! They are probably one of the most beautiful pets, the tropical fish, bettas, anoles, and snakes most of all. Not every one can be played with or handled either, though.

Ferrets and rabbits are also very cute, and they do not require much care either. Rabbits are a good choice for people who do not mind lots of cage cleaning, expensive prices, and who just wants to cuddle with you. Rabbits are pretty friendly, too, any breed. Ferrets are I'd say one of the cutest pets also, because, well, they just are! They are fun to play with, do not usually bite, and will just play with anything, even trash cans, mops, socks, and shoes! Rabbits and ferrets are also just fun, but, however, they can cost a lot of money, because ferrets are exotic and need a large cage, and rabbits need either a large cage, or a large outdoor hutch. They, however, can also learn how to use the litter box, and are very social, so you need at least two. Hedgehogs, skunks, and sugar gliders, however, I do not know much about them at all.

Birds are very cute, and they can be very small or very large. All are just beautiful, with all kinds of cool colors, like blue, purple, green, yellow, gold, turquoise, red, and orange. Parrots, like macaws, conures, budgies, parakeets, cockatiels, cockatoos, and lovebirds, are very intelligent, and can almost totally always learn new tricks. Some can even solve math problems! And they love to look through mirrors and ring bells, and maybe play with baby toys! Doves, canaries, and finches, are also cute, but they probably are not as entertaining as parrots. Canaries, though, especially males I think, will sing beautiful songs. Doves, also are very quiet birds. Finches, well, I learned that they, although social and love to live in groups, may peck and bite. Birds I'd say do make fun pets, but they are pretty expensive, the animal, and some need large cages, and they poop and have dander like crazy, but they do not regularly need to visit the vet.

Every pet has good reasons to have them, but I think I know the best pet. Although it is really based on your opinions, I think the best pets are HAMSTERS, GERBILS, MICE, AND RATS, because:

1. They are low maintence, need little space, and tiny cages, and only require feeding, water, and cage cleaning every two or three weeks.

2. Their vet bills are in fact extremely low, and extremely rarely get sick or injured.

3. They are also cute and very fun, and there are many things you can play with them with.

4. They can be trained to use the litter box.

5. Their supplies and themselves as animals cost only a few dollars. They also hardly eat anything, and one bag of food will last for months.

6. They are healthy, and very smart, and can easily learn tricks.

7. They are cuddly, friendly, love to be handled, a good choice for children, and they are very very very cute.

NOW THESE ARE GOOD REASONS! ALTHOUGH CATS ARE ALSO A VERY LOW MAINTENCE PET, TOO. BUT THESE REQUIRE THE LESS CARE, LESS MONEY, AND HAVE A GOOD PERSONALITY, ALL OF THEM. SO I WOULD RECOMMEND GETTING A HAMSTER, GERBIL, MOUSE, OR RAT FOR YOUR PET.
