Well most animals will not eat a live horse, but on the other hand though. Most of your large cats will attemp to attack a horse but to take it down is another story. I live in TN and a year ago we had a panther take down a 2 year old horse. But I have also heard of so coyotes and wolfs will attack a horse but the have to be in large numbers. One way to tell the difference is cats only eat the intrails or "organs" but most other animals such as coyoteor wolf will eat the whole horse.
