What are 1970s slang words?

Answer:

1970s Slang Words

my favorite would be cream, as in: cream in my jeans
but there are lots more.
another is bitchen which probably arrived slightly earlier but was popularized then.
these are 70s:
  • foxy
  • foxes (guys<--no, both sexes. id est: "fox on the run")

otoh, most of these showed up way earlier:
30s/40s:
  • to be "keen on" someone
  • smooch

50s, beat/jazz slang:
  • cool
  • swell (as in "Tommy's really a swell guy")

debatable. i would think 60s, but could be 70s:
  • neato

60s:
  • hang 10!
  • groovy
  • far out

never heard:
  • lets motor [let's book, maybe]

later than 70s: not in los angeles. maybe nyc, tho it would be later, 80s:
  • chicas (girls)

2003-ish:
  • pimp juice (it is what Dylan Sin doesnt have)

i have a whole lotta work to do or i'd send you up some more. otoh, i will leave you w/ the knowledge that, in context, this is where & when we, the world received:
  • dude.
  • *dudette came a little bit later.
  • bi--at least in the more common culture. it is as debatable as the onset of "neato" whether the common culture even recognized the concept before the 1970s
