- Denmark : bread, cheese and ham or wienerbrod (lit. viennabread - aka Danish pastry)
- Norway : bread and gjetost (a dark brown goat cheese) or sild (raw herring)
- Australia : as in England but larger portions or meat pie with brown gravy
- USA : eggs, toast, home fries (meat optional) or pancakes, sausage and syrup
- Light eaters from various countries tinker with :
