Aruba is an island filled with tourist attractions. A representative list follows.

[1] The Archaeological Museum is housed in a renovated historic complex dating from 1870 to 1929. It covers three periods of Aruban Amerindian history: Pre-Ceramic from 2500 BC to 1000 AD, Ceramic from 900 to 1515 AD, and Historic from 1515 to 1880.

[2] Arikok National Park [Parke Nacional Arikok] covers 18 percent of the island. It's home to a number of unique species, including the Aruban burrowing owl [Athenecunicularia], the Aruban parakeet [Aratingapertinax arubensis], and the Aruban whiptail lizard [Cnemidophorus arubensis].

[3] The Aruba Aloe Museum and Factory documents one of the first industries on Aruba dating back to 1840. At one time Aruba was the world's largest exporter of aloe vera.

Guadiriki Caves has rock drawings and two chambers sunlit from holes in the caves' roof. Huliba Cave is known as the Tunnel of Love because of its heart shaped opening.

[13] Chapel of Alto Vista was built in 1750 and reconstructed in 1953. The road to the chapel is lined with white crosses to mark the traditional Stations of the Cross.

[14] The Historical Museum is housed in Fort Zoutman and Willem III Tower. Fort Zoutman was built in 1798. Willem III Tower was built as a lighthouse and public clock tower in 1868. It served as a lighthouse for 95 years from 1868 to 1963.

[15] Downtown Oranjestad has spectacular examples of colonial architecture in pastel shades outlined dramatically in white.

[16] Piedra Plat Protestant Church was built in 1899 and restored in 2000.
