The major beliefs of Islam can be summed up in the Five Pillars. 1: There is no God but Allah and Muhammad is His Prophet (Shahadah) 2: Prayer five times a day. (Salah) 3:The Giving of Alms. (Zakah) 4: Fasting during Ramadan (Sawm) 5: Making the pilgrimage to Mecca (Hajj) In addition to these practices, Shi'a Muslims often add three additional practices which they consider essential to the religion of Islam. The first is jihad, which is also important to the Sunni, but not considered a pillar. The Most important Jihad is defined as the 'struggle with the self.' With others being;

The Jihad of the tongue,
The Jihad of the hand,
and the Jihad of the sword. The second is called Amr-Bil-Ma'rūf, or "Enjoining to Do Good", and it asks every Muslim to live a virtuous life and to encourage others to do the same. The third is Nahi-Anil-Munkar, which is the "Exhortation to Desist from Evil", this asks Muslims to refrain from vice and from evil actions and to encourage others to do the same. The major beliefs of Islam are the following: 1: Islam is Monotheistic, that is, it believes in only ONE God. God (whose name in Arabic is Allah) is not a trinity in Muslim belief. 2: Allah sends Prophets to guide humankind. There have been many prophets one of whom was Jesus and another of whom was Muhammad. Muhammad is also God's last prophet in Islamic belief. 3: The Qur'an is Allah's inerrant, infallible scripture (ONLY in the Arabic.) All translations in other tongues are both capable of error and fallibility. The Qur'an was brought to Muhammad by the Angel Gabriel. 4: Everyone will be brought to the day of Judgement by Allah and assigned a place in either heaven or hell.

Following are the beliefs, guiding principles and practices of the Muslims. The last Prophet of Islam Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) told all mankind that all human beings are the off-spring of a single couple-Hazrat Adam (AS) and Hazrat Eve (AS). Islam is for whole human race. Its appeal is to all humans. It believes in universal human brotherhood. According to the last Prophet of Islam Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) Almighty Allah has created all humans from one couple- Hazrat Adam (AS) and Hazrat Eve (AS). Neither any White man has any superiority to a Black man, nor a Black man has any superiority to a White man. Islam believes in the equality of all humans. It is above caste, color or Geographical bounds. The holy Qur'an is the last heavenly Book revealed by Almighty Allah that testifies the previous heavenly Books like The Torah, The Zaboor, All Books of Old Testament and New Testament, The Bible etc. It teaches the Muslims to have following beliefs:

Following are the Basic Beliefs of the Muslims: Guidelines

1. Belief in Almighty Allah (God) Sura Baqra -2. Aya 163: And your Allah is ONE Allah, There is no god but He. He is the Sole Creator, Sustainer, Provider and Ruler of the Universe. He has No Son, No Parents, No off-spring. He is Omnipotent, Omni-Present, All-Knowing, All-Seeing, All-Listening. HE and He alone deserves worship. All powers lie in His Hands. He alone is the Master of the Day of Judgment. He has No Partner, No Associate whatsoever. No one can understand Him completely. There is Nothing like Him. He is Most Merciful, Most Gracious, Most Forgiving..

2. Belief in Angels Created by Almighty Allah Karim from light. They are obedient to Allah Karim. Carry out His commands.

3. Belief in all heavenly books, including Tora, Zaboor, the Bible, the last one being the Qur'an.

4. Belief in all the Messengers of Almighty Allah- No distinction among them. Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) being the last Prophet of Islam. NO Prophet after him.

5. Belief in the Day of Judgment. Almighty Allah Karim is the Sole Ruler/Master of that Day. He enjoys the absolute authority to send people to Heaven or Hell.

6. Good and bad Destiny being in the Hands of Almighty Allah. No One can change his destiny.

7. Life hereafter: All the dead will be raised again and judged according to their good or bad deeds. There will be no death to them.

8. Hell and Heaven (Paradise)

These may be further elaborated in the light of the holy Qur'an and the Sahih Hadith.

Five Pillars of Islam:

1. Shahadat: [testimony that there is no god except Allah (God) the One and Only One, having No Partner whatsoever. And Muhammad is His servant and Messenger],

2. Salah: (praying five times a day)

3. Zakah: (specific compulsory charity-2,5% of annual savings)

4. Saum: (fasting during Ramadan)

5. Hajj: (pilgrimage) for each Muslim once in lifetime those who can afford it.

Answer:

1) God has no partners, no equals, no children, no parents. Only the One God of Abraham is the True God.

2) God created the Angels.

3) God sent Prophets and Messengers. Muhammad is the Last Messenger.

4) God revealed various Books: the Torah, the Psalms, the Gospel, the Qur'an. The Qur'an was preserved in its original form - every word of it - and is the Word of God. Not Muhammad.

5) God will raise everyone for judgment. Those who believed in the One and ONLY God, and did their best to be good, will enter Paradise.

6) God has created pre-destiny, as well as free will. God determines all things that will happen to us. It is all just a TEST.

So make sure you pass the test.
