in the beginning, Percy tries to stop kronos/Luke from sailing the princess armoda to his home town. he stops the boat by destroying it with Greek fire.(and for those who care, Rachel kissed him before he left.) when the ship is
about to blow up, he jumped off and passed out. Tyson and his dad found him and kept him there until he woke up. Percy saw that the war was worse that he thought.he would help, but there were bigger problems...he was turning 16 soon.(if you don't know what I'm talking about...read the other books and come back later.)later, Percy swims in the river sythx and become vulnerable. when he finds his friends back at home, he doesnt tell them.they learn about a giant monster theat is coming towards Manhattan and destroying everything in its path. the gods are all fighting it but are not succeeding. For the next part of the book, kronos keeps sending armies to destroy Olympus, but they all fail. kronos/luke makes it into Olympus and starts to destroy everything. (the monster coming towards Manhattan is dead by now) both Percy and kronos/luke are invincable, so it is hard to kill each other. annabeth goes to hit kronos when he swings his sword at her and cut her, seeing her hurt made luke gain a bit of control of his body. he shows his spot where he can be killed(there is a tiny spot when your indestructible that can still be wounded.) and Percy hands him a knife(THAT is the big decision. weather he hands luke the knife or not...confused? see the bottom of this page for the prophecy) luke takes the knife and stabs himself, and when he is about to die, he asks Annabeth if she ever loved him, and she said........no!!!!!!(lol not what i thought) so kronos dies and all is good in the end!!!(once again, if you do like the romantic stuff in this book, Percy and Annabeth do have a real, romantic, kiss.after that, they find everyone standing right behind them and they yell out "FINALLY" Percy and annabeth are annoyed about the lack of privacy, and then they are put onto everyones shoulders, and they carry them off and dump them into the water. they stood there and waited for them to come up, but Percy made an air bubble and they kissed.....again.)
