This depends on your location and the institution you wish to study law at. From what I understand, completing the secondary/high school Legal studies course or it's equivalent is often required.
You don't have to study social studies but it can be an interesting subject at sometimes. Plus, it can help you from making mistakes in the future by learning from the past.
