Why are traditional schools better than year round?

Year-round schools allow families to plan vacations at times other than summer. Students in year-round schools are less likely to have to miss school for a trip that isn't in the summer. Frequent breaks are good for students. They have less stress when they go back to school after a short break.

Lessons learned remain fresh when there are no lengthy breaks. Schooling is completed quicker allowing students to move on to higher education or work at a faster rate.
Shorter, more spread out holidays make the school year seem to go faster.

It depends on your point of view. Year-round schooling has the same number of days of school as the regular school year, but with longer vacation breaks. Say regular schooling has 2 weeks of winter break, year round schools may have 1 month of break. Also, year-round schools don't get as long a summer break.

My opinion is that year-round schooling is better because it's harder to forget so much over a shorter summer break.

theres a few of each but the only ones i can think of are:

pros-you get a better education and you get to brag to all your friends that you know more lol

cons-you have to go to school all the time....bleh

you get to decide if its worth it

school is better year round studys show that it bumps up the grade of the test or quizes it also takes of strees for both the teacher and student because they dont have to worry about forgeting it over the summer they can keep on remembering it over the summer school days
