Not all words have abbreviations; they are not needed. Some abbreviations are common, like Ave. for avenue or abbreviations for the days of the week. Other abbreviations are part of what we call specialized vocabularies. For example the different branches of science and medicine have countless abbreviations that are important only to people working in those fields. The word grown may have an abbreviation, but if it does it probably belongs in one of the specialized vocabularies; it would not be useful in everyday language.
