- Large talons to grasp prey

- Full rotating neck to substitude for eyes that cannot move and to see behind them

- Sharp beak to eat whole prey

- Excellent hearing and vision to detect their prey

- The edges of their flight feathers are soft and fluffy to reduce noise so ey can swoop down on their prey, surprising them
