an analog computer is a computer not using electricity, but cogs instead, OR it could be a computer using more than 2 different power levels, an digital computer can only understand two things: on/off, every on/off is known as a bit, for example 10010 use 5 bits, normaly on a computer bits are used in bytes(8-bits) words(4-bits) or shorts(2-bits)
