There are many symptoms of anorexia. Some common ones are...
Weight loss / protruding bones.
Not eating, or only eating very little / eating only "safe" (low-calories, low fat) foods.
Excessive exercise.
Hair loss.
Dry skin / flaky skin.
Discolored nails (usually a faint blue or purple).
Wearing baggy or different clothes to hide weight loss.
"Odd" food habits.
Obsesses over food, health, body image, ect.
Defensiveness over food, weight, food, ect.
Heart problems.
Organ weakness / failure.
Low body temperature.
Low heart rate.
Dizziness, fainting.
Weakness.
Mood swings.
Depression.
Victims of anorexia avoid eating situations, weighs themselves frequently, monitors food intake carefully, develops rigid food rituals and avoids certain foods, they are unhappy with their body size, and they develop a denial of hunger. Some emotional and mental signs include: depression, social isolation, low self-esteem and self-worth, controlling personality, perfectionistic, rigid, inflexible, low sex-drive, inability to concentrate and insomnia. Some physical signs include low-body-weight, lack of energy, fatigue, unsteady gait, complains of being cold or having tingling in hands and feet, thinning of hair loss and excessive exercise.

Those who suffer from anorexia may experience some or all of these factors. Certain ones can come and go, while others may never appear at all in a ceratin indiviual. Also, just because a person exhibits one or more of the signs, it doen not always mean that that person specifically has anorexia.
