Any insulator - just think what kinds of material are used to protect people from heat: Oven gloves i.e. cotton Pan handles i.e. rubber and plastic Nuclear reactors are surrounded by 10m of water to insulate the thermal heat Asbestos used to be used for insulation The list is endless!
