Some of the negatives are you might not like the assignment you are given to take pictures of, some clients are very hard to please, if you mess up the pictures you could get sued, income isn't always the best if you're not very known/famous, its hard to make it as a known/famous photographer.

Positives: Do creative work. Be your own boss. Meet lots of people. Possibly travel to interesting places. Job satisfaction. Sounds glamorous. Take photos of beautiful people, possibly with their clothes off.

Negatives: Long hours. Low pay. Fierce competition. No job security. Never knowing where your next paycheck is coming from. Spending more time looking for work than doing work. Dissatisfied customers. Dishonest clients. Cheap people. Scammers. People who expect you to work for free. Bridezillas. Craigslist lowballers. Take pictures of ugly people, possibly with their clothes off.

According to government statistics, median wage for a photographer is $14/hr. That means 50% make less than that, and 50% make more than that.

Photography is one of the few ways a person can tell a visual story. It allows humans to create accurate imagery of the world around them. You can create beautiful imagery no matter what equipment you have or even where you are the world. Photography allows us to share our views of the Earth and capture deep emotions and beauty. Furthermore, photography is a large field that has lots to offer. You can just take pictures of events, people, landscapes, or animals; and the list goes on and on, or even just snap some images on your next vacation. Who knows it may be a masterpiece.

I can think of only one negative when it comes to photography: the cost. Unfortunately, photographic equipment can be very expensive. However, you don't necessarily need all of the newest equipment to be a great photographer. So point, shoot, and have fun!

It is capable of "questioning the written word."

As an example.

You see a photograph of a child jumping up and down on a bed.

But the title says "The child is sleeping. "

Which one do you believe?

Remember: If the pen is mightier than the sward

--- Then ----

It is often said that a Photograph is worth a 1000 words!

What is your favorite type of photography?

I'm a photographer with a photography studio named Rare Studio based in Amsterdam. In my personal assessment, I find portrait photography to be my favorite genre. Portrait Photography is a compelling art form centered around capturing the unique characteristics, emotions, and personality of individuals or groups. It involves a thoughtful blend of composition, lighting, and posing to convey the essence of the subject in a visually appealing manner. The composition, including framing and background selection, is crucial in creating a harmonious and engaging portrait. Lighting, whether natural or artificial, plays a pivotal role in highlighting facial features and setting the desired mood. Skilled photographers guide their subjects to pose naturally, fostering a genuine connection and expression. The choice of focal length and framing techniques further contributes to the overall impact of the portrait. Post-processing techniques, including editing and retouching, are often employed to refine and enhance the final image. Whether capturing formal studio portraits, candid moments, or environmental portraits that provide context, portrait photography remains a powerful means of storytelling and artistic expression.
