The wider the tire the more the weight is distributed over the lawn. It's like snow shoes... more surface area equals less weight per square inch, which enables you to walk on top of snow. Just like bicycle tires need 45 psi, while a car only needs 32 psi. does that help, or do you want more indepth then this brief run down?
