Calves are the back muscles on your bottom section of your leg.

They are also baby cows

baby cows are Calf's

the "calves" are made up of the gastrocnemius and the sloeus muscles of the lower leg. The gastrocnemius is made up of two heads and is superficial to the soleus. The soleus is actually the main workhorse, however receives no crredit.

Heifer calves. When they reach weaning age, the "calf" or "calves" part is dropped and they are simply called heifers.
