Degrees in higher education are levels of educational attainment. There are a number of levels to include, associate degrees (two year programs of study), bachelor degrees (four year programs of study), master degrees (two to three year programs of study post bachelor degree), and doctorate programs of study (for year programs of study post bachelor degree, and the highest level of academic attainment). Each degree has many specific programs of study, and the requirements are particular to each specific program (major).
