However, everything depends on a person's proportions. A DD-cup sized breast can look normal or grossly over-sized. It has a lot to do with your body's frame: the smaller the frame, the larger the boobs appear. If you are petite (like most celebrities), a DD-cup will look much, much larger on you than on someone that has a large frame (like most non-celebrities).

For example: I'm a 38 dd and my sister who is a 34 dd appears to have bigger boobs than me. In actual fact my cup size is bigger than hers.

How cup measurement work :Like stated above, your frame has a lot to do with which cup size you get. It all depends on the THREE measurements:

1) Chest circumference (Your chest is the area ABOVE your boobs, ladies! Measure the flat area above your cleavage but beneath your collarbone.)

2) Bust circumference (OK, this time it is your boobs. Measure across the nipple area.)

3) Ribcage circumference (Measure the top of your ribcage, just under your breasts.)
