What are the values of Christian marriages?

the whole bible is a book of values and hopes. some of the main ones are Love everyone and everything. mourn,be meek,thirst for richousness,be merciful, have a clean heart, be a peace maker, do everything for god even if it means death. Dont use the lords name in vain honor your parents don't kill, commit adultery don't steal don't lie don't covet keep the sabath holy. most things like that. there are way more but just values are nothing to Christianity when people accept christ they find these values.

The gospels contain some of the highest moral values ever written, including to love your neighbour, do unto others as you would have them do unto you, not to judge others, and to forgive. However the gospels provide a mixed message, especially in the light of The Bible as a whole. For every message of good will, it is always possible to find another message that counters it. In any case some passages say that salvation is by belief and by not works, a prescription that allows Christians to avoid to living carefully by the gospel values.

Arguably, the consequence is that in spite of the high moral values in the gospels, over the centuries Christians have not lived to a higher standard than non-Christians. Perhaps we need the same values taught in a different, secular context.

The Bible's advice on building a happy marriage works because it comes from the Originator of marriage, Jehovah God. It teaches us to build personal qualities that can make marriage happy and warns about attitudes that can ruin marriage. It also teaches communication skills that enhance happiness in marriage.-Read Colossians 3:8-10,12-14.

Husbands and wives should honor and respect each other. When both accept the roles that God has assigned them in marriage, they can be happy.-Read Colossians 3:18, 19.

Married couples can stay together if they love each other. God teaches us how to love. He and his Son, Jesus, are perfect examples of self-sacrificing love.-Read 1 John 4:7, 8, 19.

When husbands and wives respect marriage as an arrangement by God, they will stay together. God created marriage to be a permanent union between a man and a woman so that families would be secure. Marriage can last because God made men and women to complement each other physically and emotionally. He also made them in his image, with the ability to imitate his love.-Read Genesis 1:27;2:18, 24.
